 A note from Mermaid Avalon:

One of the most rewarding avenues of being a children's entertainer is the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue by way of stories, puppets, and other artistic mediums. Preserving our Earth is a joyful work! 

I use my mermaid personae not only as a vehicle for entertainment, but also as a way to inspire children and adults to act locally and think globally! Using a canvas shopping bag, picking up litter, reusing, recycling, and conserving water are all ways that any household can  pitch in! Every person does make a difference! 

Visiting daycares, preschools or elementary schools to speak informally about what children can do to help our Ocean was one of the main creative driving forces which led me to decide upon taking up this line of work (and play!) Sea life puppets bring my interactive stories to life as children of all ages delight in the underlying message-- I matter and I can help! 

 

Funds collected by way of a "tip jar" at public appearances are always donated to a Marine Conservation Organization. Your small contribution will go a long way in assisting the following groups:

Science based solutions to tackle the biggest threats to our Oceans 

*Sea Shepherd International

An international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and the slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.
